Up/Down Volume Thrust (UDT) utilizing NASDAQ issues. UDT1 is calculated by dividing advancing volume by the total of advancing and declining volume and multiplying the result by 100. The indicator moves within a 0-100 range. Thrust can also be calculated over X number of days. For example, UDT2 is calculated by taking total advancing volume over the last two days and dividing by the sum of up volume + down volume over the two-day period. Five of the more commonly analyzed Thrust indicators are shown on the chart (UDT2,3,5,10 & 20). In addition to the usual interactive features, you can turn off/on any of the UDT’s by clicking on their label in the chart’s legend.
