Advance/Decline Thrust (ADT) utilizing NASDAQ issues. ADT1 is calculated by dividing the number of advancing issues by the number of advancers + decliners and multiplying the result by 100. The indicator moves within a 0-100 range. Thrust can also be calculated over X number of days. For example, ADT2 is calculated by taking the number of advancing issues over the last two days and dividing by the sum of advancers + decliners over the two-day period. Five of the more commonly analyzed Thrust indicators are shown on the chart (ADT2,3,5,10 & 20). In addition to the usual interactive features, you can turn off/on any of the ADT’s by clicking on their label in the chart’s legend.
