SPX Down Five?

With stocks struggling to hold in positive territory on persistently negative NYSE TICK action, it’s worth noting that a lower close today would represent a fifth consecutive down day for the S&P500. Historically, the market has a good track record of bouncing back from five straight lower closes. In 27 out of the last 30 occurrences (90%), the SPX posted a subsequently higher close within the next two sessions, significantly above the 66% random odds in the same time frame…
