Bear Market in Total Issues
By Rennie on Tuesday, August 31st, 2010 at 12:13 pmStumbled upon this chart of the S&P500 and total number of issues on the NYSE that pretty much speaks for itself. Interesting how it has often led the S&P at major turns. Note that it’s currently in the process of breaking its 2009 lows. Hard to see how this could be interpreted as anything but bearish.
