Intraday Update (OEX Breaking Down Following Oversold VXO)

The table below highlights performance of the OEX when it breaks below the previous day’s low (as it did this morning) and the VXO closed under its lower bollinger band the previous session (as occurred Monday). Note that in the majority of cases, the OEX ended up closing below the previous day’s low, and in only one case out of thirty did it end up more than 0.4% above the previous day’s low. This tends to indicate an area of intraday resistance around OEX 429.85.
